Lou Ferrigno at the SLComicCon press conference – just before he threw a Ferrigno Legacy T-Shirt to the crowd (which our photographer caught).

There was much awesomeness to be had at today’s Salt Lake Comic Con. I don’t want to spoil our future content, but I thought I would highlight what was awesome and what will be coming in more detail:

Press Conference:
We got there at 11am for the opening press conference. We saw Where we saw Lou Ferrigno talk about Ferrigno Legacy. We sang to Jason David Frank because it’s his “29”th birthday (while he ate some cake). We heard Manu Bennett pledge $1,000 to help a little girl with cancer.. and then turn around and challenge every other celebrity on the stage to do something similar. We saw tons of cool cosplays and artists.

After the conference, we got a chance to interview a handful of the celebs that were there. We were able to speak with Lou Ferrigno, Jason David Frank AND Manu Bennett. We’ll post videos of those interviews soon. Lou is a bit of a low talker, so we’re crossing our fingers that the audio picked up on that one.

Cosplay Parade:
Lots of local cosplayers walked through the Salt Palace in costume for a parade for all of the children that had been invited to come. Video of that event to come soon.

Cosplay EVERYTHING:
We hit as many of those today that we could. Including the Non-Cosplay Costume Contest. Summary articles for the panels coming next week. Gallery for the costume contest coming soon.

Lots of info and fun stuff coming soon, stay tuned!

Trevor Nielson
Writer & Photographer at ComicCon.tips
Trevor began his forray into nerdom as a kid peddling his bike all the way to the local bookstore to purchase comic books. The boring superhero comics weren’t good enough for Trevor, he wanted the real ones. The ones with ducks. Now who's laughing while he’s on his way to cash in all those valuable Ducktales comics. Soon he’ll have his own money bin full to the brim. These days, to fill the time before the money bin construction completes (and begins), Trevor fills his time with photography, movies, television and comic book conventions. You can find his cosplay Meet & Greet mini-shoot and articles on this site as well as prints of his photographs being sold by cosplayers throughout the land.

P.S. Trevor converted to Marvel & DC comics and movies later on, so no heartburn on that one, right?
