Divergent star Shailene Woodley and her mother host charity Divergent pre-screening.

Divergent Charity

The wildly popular book series by Veronica Roth debuted it’s upcoming movie series at San Diego Comic Con in 2013.  You can see that panel and the Ender’s Game panel on YouTube here:

)

I ended up missing that particular panel myself, because I was in line to get autographs from the Divergent cast.  As it turns out there were two autograph sessions and I ended up getting into the second one that did not have the main stars from Divergent, but I was very happy to get what I did.

Now, actors Shailene Woodley and Theo James are attending a charity event put on by Shailene and her mother where you can watch Divergent on early, on March 17th.  Followed by a Q&A with the cast if you buy a premium ticket.  Also if you buy a premium ticket, you can enjoy a small cocktail party following the movie with the cast.  There is also a raffle giving away autographed movie posters.

It’s awesome to see a young actress standing up to make a difference for something awesome instead of caving under all the pressure and going a little crazy.  So let’s all help Shailene help out young leaders.  You can buy tickets or donate towards the cause at their new website http://www.allittakes.org/

Way to go Shailene and mom, very proud of you guys.  See you on March 17th.

Trevor began his forray into nerdom as a kid peddling his bike all the way to the local bookstore to purchase comic books. The boring superhero comics weren’t good enough for Trevor, he wanted the real ones. The ones with ducks. Now who's laughing while he’s on his way to cash in all those valuable Ducktales comics. Soon he’ll have his own money bin full to the brim. These days, to fill the time before the money bin construction completes (and begins), Trevor fills his time with photography, movies, television and comic book conventions. You can find his cosplay Meet & Greet mini-shoot and articles on this site as well as prints of his photographs being sold by cosplayers throughout the land.

P.S. Trevor converted to Marvel & DC comics and movies later on, so no heartburn on that one, right?
