May the Fourth Be With You!

Star Wars Rebels ZebHappy Star Wars Day! Personally, I’m celebrating by watching Star Wars: Rebels. It’s such an awesome show and really adds to the Star Wars lore. For those not in the know, Rebels takes place between Episodes 3 and 4 and follows a group of rebels and Jedi that have been hiding from the Empire. Key characters from both trilogies pop into the show and there are even great nods to other Star Wars properties like the ride at Disneyland. If you liked The Clone Wars, this is even better in many ways. And if you love Star Wars, but are not into animation or you think that it’s just for kids, you really should give it a try. And now is the perfect time! If you don’t have Disney XD, you can stream all of the episodes right now for free on StarWars.com. Do yourself a favor. So I’ve bought a Star Wars: Rebels banner (technically, it’s for a birthday party… but who cares), Rebels plates, pizza, and ice cream cake, and we’re watching it all night. For the Rebellion!

Quite frankly, Tim is a 17-year-old trapped in a 30-something-year-old’s body. He loves good TV – by which he means something with a good serialized storyline – and movies, and spends many of his nights immersed in a gloriously complex video game. He’s a firm believer that Lost was the greatest show ever made, and that includes the ending. Oh, and Tim is a staunch defender of the Ewoks and their place in the Star Wars canon. You can listen to Tim on the Whatever Makes You Weird podcast, check out his opinions about upcoming movies in our Trailerpark Tuesday segments, and find his reporting about cons and all things nerd-ish on Comic Con Tips.
