Trevor – I’ve been pretty excited about this since they showed us a clip at the 2013 SDCC. In fact, I think it was just last week that I was wondering what had happened to that show and if I had missed it somehow. I guess production has taken a while. There is something about secret societies and mysterious organizations that get me every time. I guess it lets me wonder and hope that something fantastical will happen to me in my life. In any case, I’m stoked and will try to watch this one on the big screen.
Tim – I think that this will be a theater movie for me, too. Not because it looks great, but because it LOOKS great. The visuals look really cool, so even if the story ends up being trash, it could be worth the admission price. Hopefully the story will be good, and I’m a sucker for fantasy. But there are 100 bad fantasy movies for every good one.
Trevor- Shows that involved children just get to me. It’s been since I’ve become a parent. I feel more vested in the child’s interests. This one looks crazy intense and is likely going to have me biting my nails. But not literally because I don’t do that. That happens very seldom to me these days, so that’s saying something.
Tim- This looks like a great, “What do you want to watch tonight, honey?” kind of movies. The kind when you’re not sure what you want to watch, so you run to Redbox and are pleasantly surprised. Thrillers like this are really fun, especially when it involves something that is probably happening out there in the world. That gives it the extra “creep” factor. I know I’ll watch this one, but probably on my couch.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (Season 2)
Trevor – OH MY GOSH, I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait! I stuck with this show from the beginning, because well Marvel. I felt a little obliged. And it was rough. But then it got SO good! And we added Captain America into the mix. I’m very excited to see where they go with things this season. Looking up the IMDB info just now. I had no idea that so many people had directed episodes. Including Jonathan Frakes and Joss Whedon. I had been under the impression Joss had not been very involved. In any case, I’m excited. I’ll be there on September 23rd, probably watching the show even with the commercials.
Tim – I have to admit… I gave up on Season 1 after a few episodes. I have a really hard time with procedural monster/case/superhero of the week shows. So I lost interest quickly. But I hear great things started to happen, particularly just before and after the theater release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Knowing what happens to S.H.I.E.L.D makes this show more interesting. And now that there’s a stronger through-line in the story, I’ll give it a chance. This promo for Season 2 gets me interested in the show. I guess I’d better hurry and catch up.
