John Williams to Return for Episode VII

Star Wars Basic LogoIn news that will surprise no one, Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that John Williams will compose the music for Star Wars: Episode VII. Williams said that he will draw from the original themes, but add new music to the films, much like he did with the prequels. Luckily, J.J. Abrams wanted Williams on the film. I don’t think Star Wars could be Star Wars without John Williams. I can’t wait, even for a trailer, to hear that theme again.

Quite frankly, Tim is a 17-year-old trapped in a 30-something-year-old’s body. He loves good TV – by which he means something with a good serialized storyline – and movies, and spends many of his nights immersed in a gloriously complex video game. He’s a firm believer that Lost was the greatest show ever made, and that includes the ending. Oh, and Tim is a staunch defender of the Ewoks and their place in the Star Wars canon.
